Diagnostic Centres

There are two Diagnostic Centres, one at Serampore ESI Hospital and other at ESI Hospital Gourhati in the District of Hooghly. The Activities now have been catering through the O.P.D. of the respective hospitals since 15th August. 2005.

Specialist's Clinics

Specialist's treatment is rendered through O.P.D. of all ESI Hospital from 15th August, 2005. Specialist's treatment are also arranged in selected Government Hospital and Non-Govt. Institution. For complicated cases, the I.Ps are sent to different hospitals outside the State, like AIIMs (New Delhi), Christian Medical College (Vellore), Sankar Netralaya (Chennai), Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai), Appollo Hospital (Chennai), Madras Medical Mission.

Family Welfare and Immunization Programmes

There are Family welfare centre located at ESI Hospitals. From there all types of Family Planning aids like condoms, I.U.Ds and oral pills, etc. are distributed. There are arrangements for immunization also. Hospitals also arrange for Pulse Polio Immunization Programmes from time to time. Further, these centres arrange for different sterilization programme. They also arrange for Medical Termination of Pregnancy.

Nurses Training Centre

There is one Nurses, Training Centre located 93, Bagmari Road, adjacent to ESI Hospital Manicktala. It imparted stipendiary training to 20 trainee nurses for general nursing and midwifery (GNM) courses with the concurrence from West Bengal Nursing Council every year. It has been further equipped by providing experienced faculty members and modern educational aids. For the next academic session 40 trainees have been taken for the training course with the concurrence from West Bengal Nursing Council. Special security arrangement has been made by providing NVF.

Pollution Control Measures

Pollution control measures have been taken in ESI Hospitals as per statutory rules. Hospital waste management is being performed through an expart agency i.e Ramky in all the hospitals.
